Right now, jobs for college students are scarce just like jobs are for all other segments of the population. Because the cost of tuition as well as room and board are so high, this is putting a great strain on many students. Loans are hard to get and when they are available, the interest on them is high as well. This is why President Obama has proposed sweeping changes in student loans where private companies will no longer be allowed to give them and only the government will grant student loans.
