The Holy Grail for most internet marketers is receiving a high position on the Google searh engine. You can either do this by pay per click advertising or by google search engine optimisation.
Being on the first page of Google is similar to owning a shop on a busy high street, however sometimes getting to position one using SEO can be difficult to say the least. Despite this there are techniques you can use to achieve greater visibility even if you do not rank on the first page.
The first one is by getting a double or indented listing. Simply find a page of your site that ranks in 5th or 6th and link it to another relevant page on your site using the keyword you have targeted. This will give you a double listing and a greater amount of click throughs.
The second technique to use is a simple one and involves optimising your meta description. Google bold’s searched keywords within it, if you optimise this correctly you can massively increase the amount of visitors to your pages.
