Steps to Take Get Better at E-mail Marketing
Ask any experienced marketer - email marketing is a proven and solid approach to make a full-time income on the internet.
Here’s the idea… people say they want to hear your words of wisdom, then you email them with it. That e-mail contains a message about a product that you are selling and encourages them to buy it. Of course, there is more to this powerful form of internet marketing than meets the eye. It really does take time, effort, and work to compel people to give you their money. Once you’ve done the work, however, the possibilities are pretty much endless.
Let’s dig deeper into this, and we’ll see how it can help you with your own success. Take a look at what Bill McRea is teaching about email marketing and list building in my Never Fail List Building review for more information and a good blueprint.
You’ll need to have permission to email to those you want to subscribe to your list. If you do not take that first step, you’ll be considered a spammer which will only get you into legal trouble. And you’ll never want to be branded as a spammer. There are some people who say it’s impossible to regain your online reputation once you’re believed to be a spammer. So only email those who have successfully and properly signed-up to be on your marketing list. Once they’ve become subscribers, then you can put them in your marketing process and begin building a solid and lasting relationship with them.
It’s important to avoid rushing when you write your emails. You’ll never want to bore your readers, or make them feel like the content is useless - or failing to connect in a meaningful way. You’ll want to distinguish yourself by being yourself and putting your unique personality in your communications.
Don’t worry about revealing yourself to them! There will be no compelling reason to stay with you if there’s nothing to distinguish you from others. People are more likely to delete e-mails that sound generic.
Check your e-mails to make sure that they are free of errors. It’s really good if your emials are free from typos, spelling errors, and grammatical landmines. If you’re a bit “not too good” in these departments, first - avoid despair, secondly - get help any way you can. People tend to get turned-off when they see this stuff, makes them think you’re sloppy and unprofessional - and generally not a good business person. Buyers do not want to purchase things from sellers who do not know what they are doing. Take the time to make your emails look good and free from mistakes.
Email marketing is an art form. It’s not hard to notice a lot of badly written emails, and it’s a result of failing to recognize list marketing for what it is. It’s pathetic because very many don’t bother to offer anything but a ‘buy now’ link. You need to become knowledgable and take the time to create good messages that are effective. Persist, and you’ll get better.
